Mui Ne was one of the biggest disappointments of Vietnam. It was recommended to me by so many people! I got super stoked and excited to be going there. And as it turns out – the best part of that was the swimming pool in my hostel. That’s about it. Anyway, when I got there I had a quiet day and night as I got a little bit of a food poisoning, (which wasn’t bad at all – thanks to the pills I brought from home) So I wasn’t sick sick, but kinda ‘unsure of what’s gonna happen’ (perfect reason to just take it slowly for a day) Anyway – there was literally nothing to do in Mui Ne. It’s a fisherman/resort city on the seaside and it’s occupied by lots of people from Russia – which resulted in all the shop signs etc. being either in Vietnamese or Russian. The activities in Mui Ne:
*Going to the beach to get some tan. And for the record – to even access the beach you have to go through one of the resorts (which is ridiculous !) and the beach is not even that nice. It’s full of rubbish from tourists and generally not very nice.
*Kite surfing The time when I was there – there was no wind whatsoever, so I feel sorry for all of those who came there just for that reason. Plus it’s crazy overpriced.
*Going to the sand dunes Which I skipped, as I’ve been on sand dunes in Fuerteventura and in Poland, and I’d rather spend the money on something I haven’t seen. There is not much I could say about Mui Ne, I’m just generally not a big fan of it. (but remember, that’s only my opinion, you should check it out for yourself ; ))
Just like back home, but Vietnamese style!
Fresh fruit ! Fresh fruit ! <3
